Nail Strip Wraps vs. Nail Decals

Nail Strip Wraps vs. Nail Decals

Are you tired of paying for visits to the nail salon? Maybe the problem is that you simply don’t have the time to get your nails looking put together at all times. Look no further. There are so many options and alternatives out there for a classic manicure that you can do at home without the fuss of waiting for the nail polish to dry.

There are so many options that it may be confusing to sort through all of them. Nail strip wraps, nail decals, and nail stickers are some of these options that sound like they’re all the same, but they’re different. Here’s what you need to know about each type of nail, so you can decide which one is best for you.

Nail Strip Wraps

Nail strip wraps are stretchy Nail Polish stickers designed to fit on your nails. They come in almost any kind of design you can think of. There are fun geometrical patterns, animal prints, and solid colors if you prefer a simple look. You can find these right here with us ? or other brands such as Color Street. Each package varies with its instructions, but the application process is usually pretty simple.

First, some brands require you to apply a clear coat of nail polish on your nails before application. This protects your nails from any possible damage that the adhesive could leave behind. Not ours! It’s a 3-in-1 layers: Base, Color & Top coat: protecting, styling and long lasting.

Next, the wraps should vary in size to fit each nail. Take the wraps that fit each corresponding nail, and gently press them into your nails until they’re secure.

Then, file away the excess wrap, and you have a beautiful new manicure! These nail wraps are meant to last without chipping for at least ten days.

Nail Decals

Nail decals are a little different. These require using water. The design for the nail is printed on a special kind of paper. When the paper is put in water, the pattern separates from the paper and can be put on your nails, or any other surface for that matter.

Before applying nail decals, apply a nail polish base color. This usually can be any color, but sometimes the decal kit requires white nail polish. Take the sheet of decals and remove the protective layer. Cut out a pattern on the sheet in a square-shape. It doesn’t have to be a perfect cut. Place this cut piece into a bowl of water for anywhere from 5-10 seconds. Remove it with tweezers and place it on your nail. Afterwards, apply a top coat of clear polish to make sure your new nail art lasts a while.

There are countless new designs and methods for styling your nails these days. These three methods are definitely worth a try, even just once. And the best part is that you’ll have minimal damage to your nails when you remove them!
